CHANGES TO FILE MANAGEMENT AND CLIENT

Here's how the file manangement works:

Megacloud - only core members will have access to the main game folder and all the assets and files.

'Contributors' will only be allowed to access their own individual folder where they can work on whatever they're working on.

SparkleShare is weird to setup. For now pure Git will have to do.
The repo has space for up to 5 people, so no non-coders allowed.
I'll invite any coders if they post their email.

I have invited everyone to Megacloud but I'm still waiting for a few people to accept.

Once everyone has accepted, we can begin the transition from Dropbox to Megacloud.

MEgacloud isnt related to mega upload or Kim's new Mega service right?

Phew. Yeah I checked as well, and it seems its just a similarity in the name.

Almost done now, just got to limit who can access Megacloud and I've still got to upload a few files.

The Dropbox is now only available for musicians ONLY.

Megacloud is now COMPLETELY setup.

Erk, megacloud doesn't support 10.6.8, looks like I better get around to installing lion.

Right, so in Megacloud, I'm not able to make individual sub-folders private for certain people so I'm afraid is what I'm going to have to do is make Megacloud ONLY available to core members.

I will and make a big shiny folder for the contributors to work on/share certain things but the main game content will only be available for Core members.

Hmm, I'm thinking more and more we should donate and buy our own hosting server where we can store all out stuff.
Also can set up an internal wiki (like a more expanded version of the GDD, which I've resumed working on ) and stuff. How much can it cost? 20$ a year? dont need much bandwith it'll be for just the members of the mod, not the public...

Hmm, I like the sound of a wiki but I think we're okay using megacloud at the moment. No need to host a server really atm.

Right you are, not for now, but the more we grow and create stuff, I'd prefer us having our own server. If I could build and maintain one myself, I'do it. (I could, but I couldn't pay the bills alone (electricity mostly, my people wont like it if I keep a PC nonstop).

But as you said, later. Megacloud will do for now.
