Sharky: I have tested placing object far enough above the ground so it will look as if its in obrit. With a few adjustments of the fog this is the result.
Looks like everything is possible
You can walk on object which means we can place ships high enough and use them as a spawn point. It will be only for the coding to rise the maximum flying height of the vehicles.
Luke: Awesome, just like BF3 was supposed to be. And low orbit, even an SD is not going to be visible in high orbit. Luke used Macrobinoculars to watch on the battle between Leia's ship and Vader's and the beginning of A new hope. I also have a few coding ideas for this to make it seem more realistic. I will detail more when I have more time to test it out. Right now for coding priorities I am focusing on walkers and melee combat.
rocknroll237: Looks great! That model is very nice indeed. Did you make it?
Sharky: I didn't make it but when the time comes I will make it from scratch and i will use much more detailed textures.
411Remnant: For a test it is not bad. The concept is there and I really am liking what is being done. I can tell all of our skills are going to make this an awesome project.
Sharky: Yes i agree. Also i will uoload the video on youtube so i don't waste space ;P link when it's processsed:
