| Hello guys, i think i'm not going to do Jabba's Palace, it is too ambitious for a first complete map for that project, and doesn't appeal me that much since it is much concrete walls etc... So i decided to go for a smaller map and more appealing to me to make but not less popular, Palpatine's office as seen in the prequel trilogy, and i'm going to use these pics for the layout: What do you think? I'm even more excited to work on this, it is more in my style: hard surface, props, sobre, nice design and color scheme, nice to learn and play with CryEngine 3 and a good excuse to work on my specular/ diffuse maps. Can you delete the other thread about Jabba's Palace admins Rocknroll and Ande, please ? | |

| Nice I'd make the archive a secret passage between the private office and that small room off the security office. Guess spawns would be reception and private office. controls: ceremonial, suite. maybe make the floor beneath as well, for some extra combat space, cause this looks pretty small. | |

| Yeah I love the idea of this map, but it will be extremely small maybe do what Sceluk said and add a whole custom floor beneath this one. Or expand the reception into a larger more open space. So like this could be just a little part of the executive building. THat building is huge. | |

| Yeah, i thought of adding the senate building too if that is too little, Palpatine could have a secret passage to go in his office under the senate with his red guards for exemple . | |

| I'm sure there's more rooms and stuff even on that floor. i mean that tower was huge. You could have pre reception area with kind of like guest suites or something. or fancy barracks for the red guards. | |

| Yeah exactly.... There's lots of room for creativity. Once we get the canon part done first. THen Leph can expand the floor by adding in his own rooms and stuff, that would fit well with Palpatine's suite. | |

| Looking good, this will be a great map for those who enjoy more of a CQ environment! Destruction here could really shine if done right too. | |

I agree and i love CQ environments, and i could test some things with destruction, maybe for the big statues (big cylinders on the right and on the left). | |

| Just a little opinion from me: maybe put that CP on the little holographic projector in the middle of the room or nest it inside so the projector looks like it is projecting the CP's faction | |

| Good job dude I guess the poly's are only temporary right? Until you get the proper models? Or are you going to use them and then just texture them? | |

| Yeah they are placeholders, that's what we call a blockout, using primitives to block the shapes and scale, before starting the real assets. | |
