| Maybe a bit more black on the front of the barrels? And I think the glass could be a bit darker and have an env map. Plus, generally, a bit more spec map work, as you said. The model and normals look awesome tho. | |

| It needs to look more weathered. Scratches, dents, blast hits, burn marks. But that's texture works so I'm not sure if you're doing it as well. Apart from that, shape is great! | |

| I was focused on the main body and totally forgot to make the windows as separate texture so i can give them evn maps ;D
Also yes sceluk i am working on the textures also so i will add these things later. It's not near finish so it got only like the base colors and dirt. These marks that give the feel that this has seen quite of a fight shouldn't be skipped ;P.
I though that the small burns that i made are gonna be enough but they are not so noticeable and also look like dirt. Hope it doesn't get too much things at once and start looking too weathered because too much is also not good. Thanks for the feedback ;]

| I added some scratches and burn marks. (I didn't work on all parts so some still need work.) I tweaked the burns a lot and i am not sure if they look realistic but i will work on them when i have some more time because my session is now and I got to take these exams ;P. | |

| The damage looks pretty good. Just remember to make the spec of the blaster hits really dark, right now it's too bright (as you can see on the one blaster damage nearly in the center on the front part, between the guns). | |

| After a few weeks out i got some progress. I updated the specs and i decided to see how the model looks on a snowy environment and the surprise was huge compared to the forest level i showed but i guess thats normal ;P . The diffuse texture looked a lot darker and i a had to lighten it in the engine a lot. The result:

| Thanks !! About these windows, as i said i will try to experiment with different types to get the best effect. They reflect the sun and the parts of the snowspeeder but i want them to reflect like the sky, the clouds and the rest in real time. Unless i don't achieve that effect i will stick to the environment maps. The windows will be black 'till I finish the interior so this is temporary and i don't thing its good to spend so much time on these windows now ;D | |

| I am liking this a lot As the other have said, pretty much nothing to crit here. Reading your mention about the difference in different level, as long as it looks good in all levels, its all good. | |

| Talking about levels, do you have any Hoth-specific details in there? Like frozen parts and snow? Cause AFAIK those speeders weren't only used on Hoth and we should try to reuse as many assets as possible. If we get to another map which isn't based on the movies and has a Rebel base we could reuse it, just make sure any Hoth-specific details are on a separate layer or something. | |

| No frozen parts for now and i don't plan to add except maybe some frost on the windows. These things will hardly get frozen if they are used a lot and being fired upon ;D The only affect to the different levels are how bright the textures turn out because of the environment so they will need some tweaking for snow maps and non snow map. I am interested where they were used. | |

| From memory: the snowspeeders were actually low altitude cargo haulers (that's why they have a tow cable). The X-Wings and Y-Wings froze up on Hoth, so they used the snowspeeders since they ran extremely hot. (that's why we dont need no ice maps ). The original speeders had extreme cooling systems for normal ops, so they took them out for Hoth, bolted on a couple of blasters and added some power cells, and BAM! Instant fighter. I'd say on normal planets X and Y Wings are used. | |

| Well this looks like a more logic explanation But there were still some X Wings on Hoth in the movie. I guess they were kept at warm places, | |

Yeah, if you remember they didnt use 'em in battle. Luke only flew his to get straight off the planet. guess they must have used a heater to start them or something.

| Some update here. These are shots in cryengine with some basic colors. I didn't have time to work much this week. I may need to tweak the base color a bit more to look like in the movie : - Spoiler:
- Spoiler:
Either that marmoset tricked me or cryengine 3 interpreters normal maps different because i get these dark places on the hard edges where the bake is. Also i haven't made the tow gun , that's why its missing.

| Holy cow, that's awesome stuff.
I think the textures need more details though, e.g. the panels could have scratches on the, and maybe a few more buttons.
